Fuel Filler Neck for Toyota Land Cruiser 100 Series & Lexus LX470
Pipe Sub-Assy, Fuel Tank Inlet — Replaces OE Part Number 77201-60780
⚠ NO LONGER AVAILABLE FROM TOYOTA — REPRODUCED TO OE SPECIFICATION
This is a replacement part built to OE specification, manufactured and supplied by Spelman Labs Auto Parts. It is not a Toyota-branded part. The OE part number is listed for cross-reference and fitment purposes only. ⚑ Check Your Build Date Before Ordering
Model year alone does not determine fitment on this part. Toyota changed the fuel tank inlet pipe partway through the 100-Series run, and the change follows the vehicle's build date, not its model year.
This neck fits vehicles built between 08/2002 and 05/2005. In practice that covers roughly MY2003 through MY2005, with two edges worth knowing:
- An early-build MY2003 (assembled Aug–Dec 2002) takes this part.
- A late-build MY2005 (assembled after 05/2005) does not — those take a later part number.
You'll find your build date on the sticker in the driver's door jamb, listed as month and year of manufacture. Some retail catalogs advertise this part as 2002–2006, which is why buyers at the edges of the range sometimes end up with the wrong pipe. If your truck sits near either boundary, message me with your VIN or build date and I'll confirm before you buy.
Why This Part Exists
The factory fuel tank inlet pipe on the 100-Series Land Cruiser and Lexus LX470 is a known rust failure point. Tucked into the rear quarter behind the fuel door, it collects road salt, water, and grit — and on trucks that have spent winters in the salt belt, the tube corrodes from the outside in. Owners typically find it when fuel weeps down the inside of the quarter panel during fill-up, when the pump nozzle keeps clicking off early, or when the pipe simply rots through and the truck won't hold a full tank.
The problem is what comes next: Toyota no longer supplies this part. That leaves owners choosing between a used pipe out of a donor truck — the same age, from the same salt, rusting on the same schedule — or living with a fuel leak. This part was reproduced to close that gap for people who intend to keep these trucks on the road.
It is manufactured in steel finished with a black rust-resistant coating — the direct answer to the failure that brought you here. A bare or lightly finished pipe in that position is on a clock from the first winter; the coating is what stands between road salt and the tube wall. The vent and breather tubes are attached, so what arrives is the complete assembly — you are not transferring lines off a rusted original or sourcing them separately.

Cross-reference: 77201-60790 is the Taiwan-spec variant of the same application. Note that this is a variant, not a supersession — if your catalog shows 77201-60790, this pipe covers the same application.
Will not fit 1998–2002 trucks. Earlier 100-Series vehicles use entirely different part numbers and this pipe will not back-fit to them.

Installation Notes
This is a bolt-on replacement that mounts to the factory locations. Work with the fuel level low, disconnect the battery before starting, and relieve any pressure in the system per your service manual. Expect the original fasteners and clamps to fight you — penetrating oil applied a day ahead saves a lot of frustration on a rusted assembly. Inspect the filler hose and any remaining lines while everything is apart; if the pipe rotted, the surrounding rubber is often past its service life too. Torque all fasteners to the specification in your service manual and check carefully for leaks before the first full fill-up.
