Fitment Notes

• The 2.7T 30V V6 uses 30 valve guides total (15 per head / bank); three sets of 10 or two sets of 12 plus 6 individual guides are needed for a full engine replacement
• Standard outer diameter (11.045mm) — direct-fit for unmodified head bores; an oversize version (GDE-AU18T-OS, 11.075mm OD) is available for worn or line-bored head bores

The Supertech GDE-AU18T-12 is a set of 12 precision-machined Manganese Bronze valve guides engineered for the Audi/Volkswagen 1.8T 20V (AEB) and 2.7T 30V (APB/AGB) engines, covering the Audi A4 B5, VW Passat B5, Audi S4 B5, Audi A6 C5, and Audi Allroad C5. The 12-piece count makes this set particularly well-suited for 2.7T 30V V6 builds where partial bank replacement or a convenient quantity margin is needed — the 1.8T 20V requires 10 guides per engine, and the 2.7T 30V V6 requires 30 total. The Manganese Bronze alloy delivers approximately three times the thermal conductivity of OEM cast iron guides, significantly improving heat dissipation from valve stems into the cylinder head during sustained high-boost or high-RPM operation.

At 11.045mm outer diameter and 5.98mm inner bore, these guides are direct-fit replacements for unmodified head bores and accommodate the 6mm valve stems used on both intake and exhaust valves for all 1.8T 20V and 2.7T 30V engines. The same guide serves both intake and exhaust positions. For heads with worn or damaged guide bores requiring line boring, the oversize version GDE-AU18T-OS (11.075mm OD) is available separately. Professional machine shop equipment is required for proper installation.
