Do you have a Thermador or similar swamp cooler?(all-state, sears, firestone, coronado, lindys, kool-aire, etc) Have you checked your basket/filter pad? Lack of maintenance in swamp coolers is potentially dangerous. If you're considering tackling a rebuild yourself, SAVE THE TIME! These old baskets often have bugs and black mold in them (as seen in my videos). Save yourself the headache and exposure and just replace the whole basket as a unit! It literally takes SECONDS. Its as simple as unbolting disconnecting the spring replacing the basket with the new basket, replacing the spring. Clean the sealant off. Rescrew the back cap, reseal it, replace the back cap AND YOU"RE DONE!
