This The Joie Of Seating custom aluminum full containment racing seat was manufactured in February, 2012, to SFI Spec 39.1 safety standards. It has not been recertified since being manufactured. In order to use this seat in Nascar series racing or circle track classes, this seat would have to be recertified by the manufacturer. It is up to the manufacturer to determine, upon inspection, if this seat meets the requirements necessary to be SFI 39.1 recertified. That process is up to the buyer to complete and fund if they intend to use this seat competitively. This racing seat can be used for display purposes or off-road use by the purchaser without recertification, at the buyer's discretion. These seats cost $3-4K to have custom built.
