This vintage Danforth Constellation Binnacle Mount Compass is in rough shape but the compass function does still work. It does tend to drift a bit though when held in certain positions. The glass has a lot of stress marks and scratches. The card appears to be in good condition and the numbers and hash marks are clearly visible with no discoloration. The wire and bulb socket are present but I have never seen them work. The casing is rough but it is intact. The bottom cap has a crack in the side. The screws in the bottom cap do appear to be original. This compass has certainly been well used during its life but it could be restored or it could be a great source of parts to help complete a vintage Danforth Constellation compass!
