Vintage Whipple Industries \"Whipple Charger\" twin-screw supercharger, set up for a GM 5.7L (350) TBI engine. Includes the manifold adapter plate and a GM Rochester throttle body.
WHAT\'S INCLUDED- Whipple Charger twin-screw supercharger, serial 3150 1914 S3- Rear throttle body adapter plate, installed (coolant-heated, hose fittings on both sides)- Manifold adapter plate (mounts to the bottom of the supercharger; shown installed and loose in photos)- GM Rochester Products 2-barrel TBI throttle body with injectors, TPS, IAC, and vacuum diaphragm on the linkage- Metal air inlet elbow and adapter ring (ring sits on the throttle body, elbow sits in the ring)
NOT INCLUDED- Drive bracket, idler/tensioner, belts, or crank pulley- Computer, chip, fuel pump, or any fuel system parts- Throttle body mounting bolts- Air filter, intake ducting beyond the elbow, instructions
DETAILS- Supercharger pulley: approx. 2-5/8 in. measured across the ribs- Throttle body bores: 2 in.- Throttle body markings: Rochester Products, 09191Z- Supercharger alone weighs about 45 lb
CONDITION- Supercharger turns smoothly by hand with no grinding or tight spots. It has not been run or tested on an engine.- Throttle opens and snaps back closed smoothly by hand. Not tested on an engine.- Finish loss and scuffing on the supercharger housing, mostly at the rear corners. General wear consistent with age.- Throttle body has surface corrosion on the linkage and old gasket material stuck to the base.- This is a 1990s-era part. Inspection is recommended before installing.
