Drop the rear of your GM SUV with a bolt-on air ride conversion featuring Slam Specialties SS-7 air bags. Designed to replace the factory rear coil springs, this package combines application-specific steel brackets with premium SS-7 air springs for adjustable rear ride height when connected to a compatible air management system.
The SS-7 is an excellent choice for low-clearance and slammed applications, combining a compact collapsed height, non-ballooning design, additional suspension travel, and internal bump stops.

Required Bracket Mounting Hardware
Slam Specialties SS-7 Air Springs
The included SS-7 air springs use a 7\" double-bellow design engineered for custom air suspension applications where travel, clearance, and durability are important.
Diameter: 7\"
Collapsed Height: Approx. 2.7\"
Maximum Pressure: 250 PSI
Design: Double-Bellow / Non-Ballooning
Internal Bump Stops: Yes
Ports & Mounting Inserts: CNC-Machined 6061-T6 Aluminum
Construction: Heavy-Duty Thick Rubber
Non-Ballooning Design
Unlike air springs that expand significantly outward as they operate, the SS-7 maintains a more consistent diameter throughout its travel. This can provide valuable additional clearance around the frame, brackets, and surrounding suspension components.
Compact for Lower Ride Heights
With an approximately 2.7\" collapsed height, the SS-7 is well suited to builds designed to achieve a low aired-out stance.
Its additional usable travel compared with older RE-style designs also provides more flexibility when setting up the rear suspension.
Internal Bump Stops
The SS-7 incorporates internal bump stops that provide cushioning at the bottom of the air spring\'s travel and help protect against excessive compression.
Proper external suspension travel limits and clearance checks are still required as part of a correctly designed air suspension system.
Bolt-On Rear Conversion
The heavy-duty steel brackets replace the factory rear coil spring mounting arrangement and provide the mounting foundation for the SS-7 air springs.
The brackets feature a black powder-coated finish for durability and corrosion resistance.

Important Installation Notes
Professional installation is recommended.
Some vehicles may require shock relocation, trimming, or additional suspension modifications depending on the desired ride height and complete vehicle setup.
Final ride height depends on air spring mounting position, suspension geometry, wheel/tire combination, vehicle weight, and air pressure.
Before driving, verify SS-7 bag, frame, axle, shock, brake-line, exhaust, wheel, and tire clearance throughout the complete range of suspension travel.
Before Ordering
Verify your vehicle\'s year, model, rear suspension configuration, desired ride height, and available air spring clearance. This listing is specifically for the rear bracket kit with two Slam Specialties SS-7 air springs.
