The EMPI Super Shroud is the result of extensive CAD modeling, 3D scanning, and real-world flow testing to create one of the most efficient VW cooling shrouds available. This version features the doghouse oil-cooler tower with no heater vents.
Traditional shrouds send more air to cylinders 1 & 2 while 3 & 4 run hot. EMPI used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to redesign the internal fins, balancing temperatures across all four cylinders.
